For years Ferrero Roche has been synonymous with the naff ambassadors party advert and they were always the chocolate gift you dreaded receiving.
However, in a bid to cast off this image Ferrero are making their biggest ever investment in their chocolate range for Christmas 2008, with the launch of new Ferrero Rondnoir, a heavyweight £5.5 million TV and press advertising campaign including the sponsorship of Channel Four’s Desperate Housewives Series 5, plus a major sampling campaign of the Ferrero brands.
Ferrero Rondnoir offers consumers a darkly sensual journey through crispy wafer and indulgent creaminess towards a pearl of dark chocolate at its heart. The campaign has been created to draw in a younger consumer and is using Ferrero Rondnoir to create a modern brand image. By also tying into advertising alongside the new series of Desperate Housewives on Channel 4, Ferrero is cleverly tapping into a market of approximately 11 million women who watch the show each week.
Ferrero Rondnoir will form part of the successful Ferrero Collection which was intially launched in 2007. Ferrero Collection comprises of an exclusive selection of the most unique Ferrero specialities: Ferrero Rocher, Ferrero Rondnoir and Ferrero Garden Coconut.
