Indie band The Wutars recently had a new website designed and set up by the team at Virtual Secretary Solutions. 

It was important that the website mirrored the bands edgey indie look and wasn’t a traditional looking website as this wouldn’t fit with the band image.  The website needed to work alongside their Facebook and MySpace profiles and act as an additional resource where fans could sign up to receive news about The Wutars, gig listings and tour dates as well as being able to access their quirky online video archive Wutube.  The site was designed using the CMS system WordPress – WordPress is an easy to use and fully customisable blog publishing system written in PHP script.  Using this system for the Wutube area of the site allowed Virtual Secretary Solutions to integrate features such as the polls and comments applications seamlessly and without the need for complex code writing.

The Wutube section of the website was set up to feature snippets from the bands live sets as well as previous music and pools that their fans could engage online with.  So far the website has been well received within their fan base and the music scene.
